LEARNER DRIVER – Terms and Conditions
In order to have driving lessons you must
Be aged 17 or older (16 or over if disabled)
Hold a driving licence that is valid for the UK (provisional, full or an appropriate foreign licence)
It is your responsibility to provide your instructor with proof that you have a valid licence to drive before the commencement of your first driving lesson. If you fail to provide this proof, your instructor is entitled to refuse to conduct the driving lesson but may still charge you for such driving lesson.
CANCELLATIONS: The Driving School requires a minimum of 24 hours clear notice if students wish to cancel a booked lesson. The Driving School reserves the right to charge the full lesson fee if the above period of notice is not given and make a charge for repeat lesson postponements and cancellations. Should the Instructor arrive for the lesson and the student is not available at the time booked the full lesson fee may be charged. If in the view of the Instructor the student is unfit to carry out the lesson safely due to self-induced circumstances (e.g. alcohol, drugs or lack of sleep) a charge for the full lesson will apply.
PAYMENTS, SPECIAL OFFERS, BLOCK BOOKINGS: We accept payment by Cash, or Cheque or Bank Transfer. Lesson prices are subject to change without prior notice. Please note that lesson prices displayed in other publications and websites may not be current. Please discuss terms and conditions relating to special offers before training commences.
APPOINTMENTS: Whilst every care will be taken to ensure students receive training at the booked time all bookings are made on the understanding that the Driving School is not responsible for the postponement or rescheduling of training due to traffic conditions, adverse weather, mechanical breakdown of equipment, booking errors or other causes outside of the Driving Schools control.
DRIVING TEST: The Driving School reserves the right to withhold the training vehicle if in the Instructors opinion the student has not reached the required standard. The student will be expected to complete at least one mock test to a required standard before being allowed to use the Driving School car for their practical test. The Driving School cannot be held responsible for test appointments being postponed or cancelled by the DVSA. Furthermore, we are not responsible for any mechanical or electrical failure of the test vehicle including light bulbs, punctures etc before or during the DVSA test that affect the test result.
PERSONAL PROPERTY: The Driving School accepts no liability for personal property that is left in the training vehicle.
MOBILE PHONES: For safety reasons all students should ensure that mobile phones are switched off or set to silent mode prior to entering the tuition vehicle. Use of mobile devices unless through a hands free device whilst driving is illegal and will not be allowed during driving lessons.
INSURANCE: All fees include student cover whilst driving the Driving School vehicle, (provided the student is licensed to drive) and is accompanied by an instructor or on a Driving Test with an approved DVSA Examiner(s).

Requirements
Please ensure that you meet the following criteria before attending your drive as you will be asked to sign a declaration confirming this.
Insurance
If the vehicle is not insured by you personally, but for instance by the organisation by whom you are employed, please indicate this is the case, give particulars of insurers and of the company name and person from whom further details may be obtained.
Denver School Motoring may decline to proceed with your session if any of these conditions are not met.
